The French for Beginners 1 course is perfect for adults who have never studied French or for those who studied it briefly in the past and don’t remember much.

If you’d prefer a join a shorter course and wait a bit more before learning about grammar, we recommend to join our Intro & Travellers course first.
In this course, taught in English, we’ll cover essential topics such as:

Greetings and self-introductions

Expressing likes and dislikes

Using key verbs in the present tense: être, avoir and -er verbs like parler

Asking for basic information

Talking about things you like to do

Numbers up to 20

Everyday vocabulary (days of the week, food, places, etc.)

Homework will sometimes be assigned between lessons.​​
